We received the news of Lu's passing with a deep sense of loss and sadness.  I was welcomed by Bob and Lu during my time in Chicago, and they both made repeated efforts to insure I was engaged in activities outside of my work responsibilities and made to feel part of the family and community.  The "wellness check" they made to our home in Atlanta long after I had departed the City was both surprising and deeply appreciated.  We have lost a friend, and are the poorer for it.  Our deepest condolences to the family, and we wish you strength and comfort as you deal with the pain of her passing.

    Dearest Bob and Family,,

I have been out of town the past two and a half weeks, and was so deeply saddened at Mass this morning when I heard of Lou's passing.... Lou was an amazing woman, with a tremendous amount of strength, faith and the love of her family that helped her through to the end. She is most definitely an angel in Heaven now! Rest In Peace, my dear friend.... until we see each other again....

Love, thoughts and prayers to your family....

Dear Bob and entire Rodriguez and Fitzgerald families, My deepest sympathy as you know for the loss of Lu! It is the hardest thing to ever put in words about love and respect for a lovely giving woman as Lu! I knew her way before she was my dear manager who was such a hard worker. Not only that, but she cared for you as a person and not just an employee! Sometimes I would see her at St. John Fisher Parish and a few times at the monthly lunches with Jane! Bob you and Lu even knew my husband (ex since 1 month ago today). You both have been great parts of our lives! I will never ever forget your wonderful Lu and Shirley! May God bless and be with all of you even more now and may Lu RIP under that beautiful tree on earth as she is in Heaven!
